PRE-16 ALTERNATIVE PROVISION DIRECTORY
Newcastle City Council maintain an on-line Alternative Provision Directory that is accessible to staff within secondary schools/academies, the Pupil Referral unit and the Council’s specialist teams. This directory was set up through a Council commissioning exercise, which quality assured all of the organisations listed within the Directory. School/academy and other specialist staff will access the Directory to help identify learning and/or support that is needed to support generally young people in Key Stage 4 for whom the mainstream curriculum is not entirely appropriate.
